Abdominal CT reveals diffuse intramural gas from the ascending colon to the transverse colon and a large amount of free air in the abdominal cavity without portal venous air or extraluminal fluid collections. This study shows diffuse pneumoperitoneum, which led us to suspect the presence of gastrointestinal perforation.
